The 2018 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon showcases a bright and complex vintage coming from our Grandpa’s Block. With first intake of this garnet beauty, you are met with fresh black cassis, cedar, a touch of pencil shavings, and black currant on the nose. A soft entry of black berry pie, cassis, and a graphite wet stone minerality all shine on the front to mid palette. Finishing long with oregano, spruce, and bitter chocolate from the barrel toast. Mark’s use of 50% new French Oak barrels over the course of 18 months leading to firm tannins and bright acidity.
